What is BPTutor?

BPTutor is an educational services website that provides online tutoring, educational assistance and other services for college and school students.

How do I create an account?

Click on the "Sign in" link on the top right of BPTutor page. You will find a "New user registration" link. Once you have registered, you will receive a welcome email confirming your user name and password. You will have to verify your account by clicking on a link provided in the welcome email. Once you have verified your account you will have an active account with us that you can use to buy tutoring credit, book tutoring sessions and enjoy learning.

How much does it cost?

Do I have to schedule sessions in advance?

No, if a tutor is available for the subject you require tutoring on, you are welcome to avail immediate assistance.

However, to help us serve you better, we recommend that you schedule sessions in advance and email the tutor what area/topic you require assistance in. If possible, please also provide a soft copy of the material that you wish to study.

Do I have to use a whole hour every time I sign on?

No, you can use blocks of 30 minutes.

I had a tutor I really liked - can I request that same tutor for my next session?

Yes, please email us at adminemail and we will work with you to facilitate this.

What is a electronic whiteboard?

An electronic whiteboard is a substitute for your notebook. You and your professor use it as the writing pad during your tutoring session like you would use paper or a notebook.

Instead of a regular pen or pencil, you use a digital pen. Digital pens are available at most leading stores. Amzaon.com has a few digital pens listed.

What are the minimum computer requirements?

A PC (Pentium II or more advanced) with Windows 2000/XP (or more advanced)
A high-speed internet connection like DSL or Cable
Microphone/speakers (or a combined headset) that you would use to voice chat on skype, other messenger services

I am experiencing a technical issue, what do I do?

Please email us at adminemail and we will be glad to provide you your user name after verifying your identity for security purposes.

Please access click on forgot my password link and enter your email address. Your password will be mailed to your email address. If you still are having issues, please contact us at adminemail.

I am not satisfied with the tutoring session?

If you are not satisfied with the assistance you received, please email us at adminemail within the next 24 hours. After we understand the cause of dissatisfaction, we will either credit you the time and provide you with another tutor or refund you your money after transaction costs (3.9% credit card fees) at our discretion.
